Know how to transmit a business idea with passion and seduce potential investors, convince strategic partners or attract potential clients

Capsule to inform the entrepreneur about basic aspects of project communication and marketing, with the aim of designing an effective communication strategy and implementing a communication and marketing action plan adapted to the entrepreneur's needs.

This capsule is part of Guidance in the entrepreneurial process program with other programmes  previously offered by Hubbik: Business Idea Generation and Maturing, Legal Issues for Entrepreneurs,and Funding Entrepreneurial Projects.

Efficiently focus and manage the communication of a business project during the development phase.

Specifically:

  • Branding aspects that must be taken into account during the brand creation process.
  • Techniques for maximizing the impact of actions presenting the project to external agents.
  • The methodology that should be used to develop a communication strategy that is both effective and adapted to the project's needs.

Research staff and entrepreneurs working at the UOC who have a business idea that could be transformed into a business option.

Theoretical training animated with video presentations that help give concrete form to each module's content. At the end of the course, a questionnaire is completed to verify the knowledge .

The training programme is structured in seven modules that enable the main communication needs of entrepreneurial projects to be structured in their different phases.

Module 1: Branding and identity

  • Basic principles in communication. Ability to analyse the audience and adapt the discourse to their features.
  • Building slogans.
  • Naming.
  • Storytelling in communication.

Module 2: Design and corporate image

  • The corporate image.
  • The logo.
  • Development of basic communication products.

Module 3: The art of presenting

  • The core ideas.
  • Planning and scripting a presentation.
  • Audiovisual support: designing attractive presentations, focused on the audience and targeting their interests.

Module 4: Your elevator pitch

  • Investor types.
  • The one-sentence pitch.
  • Components of an elevator pitch.

Module 5: Attending industry fairs: successful practices

  • How to choose a fair.
  • Participation options: visitor or exhibitor.
  • Actions before, during and after the fair.

Module 6: The communication strategy

  • A communication strategy to efficiently give visibility to a project.
  • External and internal analysis of my project.
  • Messages, audiences, objectives and strategies. How do I develop an "executable" communication action plan that is matched to my project's needs?

Module 7: Digital marketing for entrepreneurs

  • What is digital marketing?
  • Online positioning: content marketing.
  • Managing social media.
